Tumbling, Trampoline & Cheer
The Edwardsville YMCA offers recreational and competitive tumbling and trampoline classes for boys and girls. We have also introduced a Cheer class!
Beginners & Novice
Beginning Tumble/Tramp (Ages 5 - 11)
This is a beginner class for those with little or no experience. In this class the participants will work on forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and bridges on floor. On trampoline they will learn a variety of jumps and safety falls. (50 minutes; 7:1 ratio)

Participants 8 and up work towards mastering skills to advance to the intermediate levels of tumbling. DO NOT need to have prior experience to join in this fun class! (50 minutes; 7:1 ratio)
Register Online ›Novice Tumble/Tramp (Ages 5 - 11)
Participant must have passed beginning tumble/tramp combo or have mastered the skills in a beginning tumble/tramp class. In this class they will work on cartwheels, round offs, back walkovers, handstand skills and dive rolls. On trampoline they will learn combination skills including front flips. (50 minutes; 7:1 ratio)

Intermediate/Advanced Tumble/Tramp (Ages 5 - 11)
Intermediate and Advanced students must have passed novice skills in tumbling & trampoline. We will work on limbers, handsprings, tuck, and series on floor and more as they are ready for it! Trampoline will begin working on combinations of skills. (60 minutes; 7:1 ratio)

Tumble/Tramp Pre-Team
This recreational, exciting & fun team practices year round & competes on rod floor, trampoline & double-mini trampoline! Team competes in Illinois & Missouri with USTA & AAU.
Team spirit, sportsmanship & self-esteem are emphasized. Practice is on Tuesday & Thursday. Team Prerequisites Include: Roundoff Back-handspring On Floor, Front & Back Drops & Handsprings With Control On Trampoline.

Special offering to work on handsprings for tumbling, cheering, or gymnastics! Break it down and get it solid for your tryouts or classes! 1 hour 20 minutes.
Prerequisite: Handstand hold 2 seconds, roundoff, backbend unassisted.

Extra practice, skills and drills for cheer, gymnastics, on front and back handsprings series/combinations, and front and back tucks!

Edwardsville YMCA Owlettes Cheer Program
Welcome to our cheer performance program! We are excited to have you learn and perform with us! Cheering builds confidence, teamwork, rhythm, and strength in a fun and positive environment! New cheers, stunts and materials each semester! Our Fall Season for Owlettes is a semester long, 14 week program, with 2 performances! Owlette cheer shirts can be ordered for performances after registration. (Same shirt for both Fall and Winter Semesters)
Junior Owlettes (Ages 6 - 7) *NEW*
Join us in our NEW cheer performance program. We are excited for you to learn and perform cheer with us. Cheering builds confidence, teamwork, rhythm, and strength in a fun and positive environment. New cheers, stunts, and materials each semester. This is a semester-long program with Fall being 14 weeks with 2 performances. Participants can order a special Owlette’s cheer performance attire.

Register Online ›JUST THE FLOOR TUMBLING CLASS (Ages 8+)
Join us for this NEW special class where we only focus on skills on the floor. This is the perfect opportunity for cheerleaders to work on tumbling or for those who want extra floor practice. In this class, we will work on advanced tumbling such as back handsprings, tucks, and front handsprings. MUST be able to do prerequisite skills such as Handstand, round off, bridge kickover, and backward roll to push up.
