Volunteering At The Y

The Y counts on generous volunteers who donate their time and talents to strengthen our community. Whether you are a volunteer coach for a YMCA sports league team, help with special events, or volunteer in another capacity, volunteers are vital to the YMCA. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to meet the needs of the kids, families, and adults who live in our area.

At the YMCA, we know that your time and talent are precious, and we want every minute you spend with us to be worthwhile. That’s why we’re asking you to take some of your time to fill out this application and complete important volunteer requirements. The YMCA takes child abuse prevention very seriously, and believe that the best way to prevent child abuse is through education and support. In order to best protect our children, every staff member and volunteer must know signs to look for and understand our reporting expectations and procedures. Even though we may know you well, we reserve the right to conduct background and reference checks on our volunteers. It’s just one of the many ways we help protect children and other vulnerable people served by the YMCA.
