Thank you for your support of the Edwardsville YMCA and our mission to ensure family wellness. To say that these times are unprecedented and confusing is an understatement. We at the Y continue to work tirelessly to keep our members, program participants, employees and communities safe.
On March 16th, we temporarily closed all of the Edwardsville YMCA locations, including the Niebur and Meyer Centers and our Allison Cassens Early Childhood Development Center. Since that time, we have offered virtual classes and offerings to keep our members and community healthy and connected. We’ve called and spoken with many of you and know that we all look forward to reopening our facilities and offering programs, classes and facility usage in a safe and responsible manner.
We continue to monitor guidance from federal, state and local health authorities during this evolving national emergency to ensure we are following guidance and timelines in the best interest of the health and safety of our members, staff and communities we serve. Recently, the governor’s office released a plan called Restore Illinois that provides guidelines on which facilities and functions can remain open or when they can reopen across the state. We will continue to follow the state plan based upon state licensing requirements for our day care facility and upon guidance from our insurer. Please click on Restore Illinois for details on the five phase reopening plan.
Please continue to check this page, your emails, our website and Facebook page regularly as we will communicate updates through these channels in a timely manner to ensure you have the best information to plan accordingly. Additionally, if you have questions or concerns do not hesitate to reach out to our Member Services Team at 618-656-0436.
Thank you again for your continued support of the Edwardsville YMCA.
