Self Defense & Karate

Self Defense for Kids

Learn how to deal with bullies and predators. Kids will learn what behaviors to watch for and practice how to escape to safety. They will also learn important strategies to help avoid violent situations, plus tactics & techniques for handling violence when it is unavoidable. Participants will receive an informational packet with descriptions of the techniques covered in class plus at-home tips for parents.

Sport Karate

Students will learn techniques & tactics for sport karate & Tae Kwon Do competition, plus participate in light contact (i.e. safe) sparring. Good for both beginners & kids already involved in martial arts. Many of the skills learned in this program can carry over into other sports as well.

Namaste At The Y

Campers will learn how to focus & center themselves with various breathing & visualization techniques. The yoga poses will help improve strength, flexibility & coordination. Classes promote self-confidence, self-respect, awareness & ability to stay calm in stressful situations.

Nutrition habits are formed during youth. Let your children join us for a hands on workshop that will explore what foods to put together to make a nutritious snack, while learning useful food preparation skills for life.

Color Fun

Have a blast with Color Fun! You will get beautifully messy while running and playing! A white t-shirt will be provided but BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES for this messy fun day!
